These are the recipes I turn to when I want a taste of nostalgia. ## Photos and videos - ![My Shepherd's Pie is pure comfort food and always reminds me of Christmas. I prepare these for catering orders in large trays, perfect for small dinner gatherings or family get-togethers where you want the food to do the heavy lifting. Growing up, the festive season meant our kitchen was a flurry of activity, and that is where I first learned to bake and roast. My menu includes Shepherd’s Pie and other Continental comfort dishes that served as the perfect counterpoint to our traditional Kerala Sadhya. These items are my personal homage to those mixed-heritage holiday meals we enjoyed with extended family. When you order these for a party, I ensure the transition from my kitchen to your table is seamless. The meat filling is slow-cooked to develop deep, savoury notes, and I use real butter for the potato mash to get that perfect crust in the oven. Because I make everything from scratch, I need a little bit of heads-up, so please reach out 24 to 48 hours in advance for bulk orders. These trays arrive ready for you to heat and serve, making your hosting duties much lighter. Beyond the pie, I also make creamy pasta and spaghetti dishes for those days when you just need something familiar and warm. Whether you are hosting a small home party in Bengaluru or just want a break from cooking, these trays are designed to serve 5 to 50 people without any fuss. ## About Travancore Tasties I am Tresa, and I have been sharing my family’s food history through Travancore Tasties since 2015. Cooking is about gut feeling for me, not just strict measurements, which is why I make everything from scratch in my own kitchen.
