From the intricate carvings of a home mandir to the expansive architecture of cultural landmarks like the Gurudwara Bangla Sahib library, our work seeks to ground the spirit through light, texture, and silence. ## Photos and videos - ![The magnificent Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, a place of deep spiritual and historical significance. We study how specific marble surfaces, acoustic treatments for chanting, and controlled lighting temperatures influence your breath and focus. It is never about adding more; it is about stripping away the noise so that only the intention remains. ### Our Approach to Sacred Architecture Design is not merely about aesthetics. In spiritual spaces, it is about creating a bridge between the physical and the metaphysical. We approach these projects with a philosophy of quiet luxury, ensuring the environment supports your rituals rather than distracting from them. #### The Home Mandir as a Sanctuary For private residences, we move away from standard carpentry to focus on stone as a medium for longevity and peace. We use materials like white Makrana marble or Onyx, working with skilled craftsmen to create handle-less concealed units that hide everyday clutter. This keeps the focus entirely on the altar. We incorporate Vastu-compliant spatial planning alongside neuro-aesthetic layouts to ensure that when you enter, your heart rate naturally slows. #### Cultural & Institutional Work Our work for institutions like the Gurudwara Bangla Sahib library focuses on crowd flow, acoustic resonance, and the pacing of the visitor experience. We craft the narrative through lighting plots that guide the eye and architectural details that respect the heritage of the site. In public spaces, our goal is to manage movement without creating friction, ensuring that large-scale design feels intimate and accessible. ### Key Considerations * **Acoustics:** We integrate sound-dampening panels and architectural details to manage resonance for chanting and bells. * **Lighting:** We utilize 2700K to 3000K warm, dimmable lights. Light is our storyteller, used to create gentle transitions between public and private zones. * **Materiality:** We prioritize natural stone, wood, and metal, avoiding synthetic finishes that disconnect a space from its purpose. Whether you are looking to commission a home mandir or require design consultancy for a larger cultural project, our process begins with understanding your specific habit of prayer or reflection. ## About Transform Design I am Ashmit, and at Transform Design, we see spiritual spaces as the heartbeat of a building.
