Before we even touch your hair, I perform a mandatory chemical strand test to see how your hair reacts to previous pigments. This tells me exactly what is possible in one session and, more importantly, what we need to avoid to keep your hair strong. When you come in for a color correction, we do not just apply a new dye. It starts with a thorough diagnosis. Using Redken’s chemistry, I assess the porosity of your strands to see how they handle previous box dyes or accidental bleach jobs. Then comes the correction phase, where I use gentle oxidative reducers to strip away muddy tones or brassiness without compromising your hair’s integrity. We then fill the hair with necessary pigments to prevent it from looking flat or muddy when we apply your final shade. Finally, I seal everything with a deep bond-repair treatment like Olaplex or K18. This is a technical process, but it is the only way to get you from a botched result to that balanced, healthy look you actually wanted.
