We stitch a rubber stiffener into the middle layer of the fabric so they stand upright even when empty. It is a small, practical detail that ensures your laundry or toys look organized rather than messy, keeping your space tidy and intentional. ### More Than Just Decor We believe storage should add personality to a room, not hide it away. Our pieces are designed for the way you actually live, blending traditional Indian craftsmanship with the needs of a modern apartment. ### The Process Matters - **Triple-Layer Baskets:** Our fabric variants use a cotton canvas and plain inner lining, sandwiching a rubber stiffener. This is why our baskets stand tall rather than sagging, whether you use them for laundry, magazines, or as a cover for your favorite indoor plant. - **Sustainable Materials:** We prioritize natural fibers like jute and sustainable mango wood. The jute baskets feature a machine zig-zag stitch for a rustic, durable finish that handles heavy use, from pet toys to large Fiddle Leaf Figs. - **Hand-Carved Details:** Our mango wood caddies are not just organizers. Because they are hand-carved, each piece features unique motifs. We finish them with a whitewash rub to highlight the wood grain, and we add a weighted base so they stay stable on your dining table, even when holding heavy steel cutlery. ### Styling Your Space Whether you are styling a cozy nook with our mango wood trays or organizing your vanity with our caddies, these pieces are made to be seen. They work just as well in a minimalist studio as they do in a traditional home, bridging the gap between old-world techniques and contemporary utility. ## About Thorny Affair We are Thorny Affair, and we believe your home should tell your story.
