Our heavy-weight canvas and duck cotton runners feature mitred corners for a crisp, tailored drape that stays in place on your table, bringing a polished look to both weekday dinners and festive gatherings. We believe home linens should be more than just functional; they should tell a story. Whether you are hosting a festive dinner or setting the table for a simple family meal, our collection of artisanal linens brings a blend of traditional Indian craftsmanship and modern aesthetics into your home. ### Material and Craftsmanship We work primarily with 100% natural cotton. For our table runners and placemats, we use heavy-weight canvas and duck cotton to ensure the fabric has enough substance to lie flat and resist slipping during use. Each pattern is applied using traditional wooden block printing techniques. This method is intentionally slow; it requires immense patience, and the slight irregularities you might spot in the print are not flaws but proof of an artisan’s dedicated work. ### Styling Your Space Our linens are designed to be mixed and matched. You can choose from full tablecloths for a complete look or opt for a runner-and-mat set to highlight the wood finish of your dining table. Many of our runners are reversible, featuring solid color backing that allows you to change the mood of your tablescape instantly. ### Care Instructions To keep your cotton linens looking vibrant and to preserve the integrity of the natural dyes, we recommend a gentle cold wash. This will help maintain the fabric structure and color depth over time, ensuring your pieces stay part of your home for years to come. ## About Thorny Affair We believe that even a simple meal should feel like an occasion. We work directly with Indian artisans to bring traditional block printing into your dining room, creating linens that feel as good as they look.
