They are real, professional instruments, not toys—perfect for small hands to start their musical journey with the right sound. ## Photos and videos - [Video: I created these special tabla sets for kids from 2 to 7 years old. I collaborated with Jonty Tabla Maker to design these shells at 8 inches high—the perfect height for a 4-year-old—while keeping the playing head full-sized (5.25 inches). This ensures your child gets the authentic, deep resonance of a professional instrument rather than a hollow, toy-like sound. ### Why Kids Need Proper Instruments Starting a child on a cheap toy drum can actually discourage them because it doesn't respond to their touch or produce a pleasant sound. I noticed this disconnect in my own classes and wanted to change the narrative. These sets are built to be responsive, meaning when your child taps, they feel and hear the vibration, which is crucial for building a connection with the instrument. ### What You Get in the Set Every kit is ready to play immediately. You get the Dayan (right hand) and Bayan (left hand) designed for reduced height but standard circumference, ensuring correct wrist placement as they grow. We include: * **Premium Gitte & Tuning Hammer:** High-quality tuning blocks for maintaining pitch. * **Support Rings:** Fiber-wrapped rings that provide essential stability on any floor surface. * **Gig Bag:** A padded nylon carrier to keep the Puri (skin) safe from moisture and dust. ### Designed for Longevity The biggest challenge for parents is the fear that their child will outgrow the instrument in a year. Because I use a full-size head diameter with a shorter shell, this instrument remains useful and playable as your child grows taller. It is a one-time investment in a tool that will support their learning for years, not just a phase. Whether they are looking to join my online classes or just exploring rhythm at home, this is the right start. ## About Tablagram I’m Mannanjot, known as Tablagram. I live and breathe percussion, and seeing my little students struggle with bulky, ill-fitting instruments broke my heart, so I built my own solution. I want every kid to experience the magic of music without the frustration of the wrong tool.
