You will be playing your first 'bols' (beats) within minutes, as I break down complex rhythms into small, digestible patterns. It's designed to build your confidence from the very first tap. My teaching approach is simple: music should be fun. I structure my classes to balance the technical history of the instrument with hands-on practice. We start by understanding the basics—what music is, how the tabla evolved, and how to define rhythmic divisions—before moving into the actual practice. ### What You Will Learn * **Foundational Beats:** We focus on getting the technique right for basic bols like 'Ta', 'Tin', and 'Ke'. * **Theory vs. Practice:** It is not just about banging the drum. We learn the history and structure, so you understand *why* you are playing a specific rhythm. * **Postural Habits:** Especially for my younger students, getting the sitting position and wrist placement right early on is non-negotiable for long-term progress. ### For the Little Ones I noticed how standard-sized instruments can discourage kids from learning, so I use my custom-designed, child-sized tabla sets. These are not toys; they are professional-grade instruments with a 5.25-inch head size, making it physically easier for kids aged 2 to 7 to produce a clear, resonant sound. Whether you are an adult looking for a creative outlet or a parent wanting to introduce your child to the rhythm of Indian classical music, I ensure a supportive environment. Waheguru di kirpa naal, we keep the learning process joyful. We cover everything from fundamental percussion to complex fusion patterns, right here in Delhi NCR. ## About Tablagram I'm Mannanjot, but everyone here calls me Tablagram.
