## About Nurturing Young Talent: Dance for Kids

We don't just teach steps; we start every session with the Guru Vandana to build focus and respect. Whether it is learning the basics of Kathak footwork or practicing hand gestures in Bharatnatyam, our sessions for kids are designed to be disciplined yet playful, ensuring they develop rhythm and posture without feeling overwhelmed.

Our kids' program is built on the Guru-Shishya tradition, where we treat dance as a path to discipline and self-expression. We believe that learning dance should be a positive experience, so we keep our batches small and age-appropriate.

In our Kathak sessions, students start with simple Tatkar (footwork) and gradually move to Chakkars (spins), all while learning the storytelling art of the Lucknow Gharana. For those interested in Bharatnatyam, we focus on foundational Adavus and the geometric beauty of the postures. We regularly prepare our students for stage performances at events like 'Aarohan', which gives them a real goal to work toward and helps them build confidence.

We also include semi-classical fusion, where kids learn to mix the grace of traditional dance with popular music, keeping the process engaging. Safety is our priority, which is why our Noida studio is equipped with professional wooden flooring to prevent injuries during heavy footwork. We welcome beginners and experienced young dancers to join our community, grow their talent, and find their rhythm.

## About Thirkan

We are Thirkan, and we believe dance is for everyone. When we see our students finding their rhythm in our studio, that is our greatest reward. We are simply here to pass on the traditions our Gurus gave us.
