For our Kathak batches, we bring in live tabla players to every session, because understanding the interplay between rhythm and movement is how a dancer truly finds their feet. It is this focus on the Guru-Shishya tradition that allowed our students to perform so confidently at major productions like Aarohan 2025. Our studio isn't just a place to learn steps; it is a space where we honor the Guru-Shishya tradition. We believe that when you learn Kathak or Bharatnatyam, you should understand the 'why' behind the movement, not just the 'how'. That is why our classical programs go beyond basic choreography. In our Kathak sessions, you will find live tabla accompanists who help you internalize the nuances of Laya and Taal. It makes a world of difference when your footwork responds to real music rather than a recording. Similarly, our Bharatnatyam training is deeply rooted in the Natyashastra, focusing on correct Aramandi postures and technical precision. But we also know that dance is about joy. That is why we balance our rigorous classical training with high-energy Bollywood, semi-classical, and fitness-focused classes like Zumba. Whether you are a beginner looking to pick up a new hobby, a parent searching for a structured environment for your child, or an adult wanting to reconnect with art, we have a place for you. We have seen our students grow from shy first-timers into confident performers at major events like Aarohan. It is this journey—from the wooden floors of our Noida and Dubai studios to the stage—that defines Thirkan. We are not just a school; we are a community that celebrates every beat, every spin, and every success together. ## About Thirkan We are Thirkan, and for us, dance is not a workout—it is a language. Whether we are in our Noida or Dubai studios, we focus on preserving the beauty of Indian classical forms while keeping the energy high. We are here to help you or your child find that same spark that keeps our own hearts beating for dance.
