## About Commercial & Hip Hop Dance

### Why I Teach Dance

Dance isn’t just fun for me - it’s a way to learn, to grow, and to find your own groove. I waited years to teach choreography in India because I wanted to do it right. Now, I focus on Commercial & Hip Hop styles, but with real discipline and respect for the art.

### My Method: Foundation First

I start with basics. Old-school drills, rhythm work, and groove - you gotta earn your vibe. No shortcuts. Once you’ve got the fundamentals, the music flows through you. It’s not about copying moves, it’s about feeling them.

### What You’ll Find Here

- Commercial Hip Hop: Power, rhythm, and hip hop dance drills. Beginners get their own batch so you don’t feel lost.
- Street Jazz Fusion: I teach this myself, mixing jazz technique with commercial style. Kids, teens, and adults all welcome.
- Indie Commercial & Indie Glam: Bollywood and indie-pop with a twist. There’s a gentle batch for adult beginners and a special program for ladies.
- Heels Choreography: For advanced dancers who want to push themselves. It’s tough, but worth it.

### Who Can Join

- Kids & Teens (5-19): Dance builds discipline and confidence. We have age-specific programs.
- Adults: Never too late. Our team is patient, especially with beginners. Foundational batches for all ages.

### The Stage: SOLUS

Everything leads to our annual dance showcase performance, ‘SOLUS’. It’s not just a recital - it’s a real production. Lights, costumes, audience. You get to see what you’re capable of. If you’re serious, you’ll find your moment here.

## Meet your expert

[Ratika Ram Kumar](https://mytribe.in/theworlddanceschoolindia)

### My story

I’m a bit old school, honestly. Dance for me isn’t just steps, it’s about building character. For years, I wouldn’t teach choreography till I saw real technique. Now, my group’s got muscle, form, grit. Watching them grow is wild, like seeing a tree push through concrete. Sometimes we’re strict, sometimes goofy - both matter. Choreography is art, but the fun? That’s the soul, yaar.

### My work

- **Dance Classes for All Ages**: We teach classical ballet, jazz foundation training, contemporary, and hiphop. Kids, teens, adults, even toddlers - everyone’s welcome.
- **Rigorous Old School Training**: Foundation first, lots of old school dance drills. It’s tough and slow but builds real dancers.
- **Not a Hobby Class**: No shortcuts, no branches, and no discounts. Only serious dancers at our Andheri studio.
- **Trial Class Available**: Want to try? Book a paid trial, see if our premium contemporary dance studio fits you.
