Building trust and understanding their needs on an emotional level is where true guardianship begins. If you are struggling with a rescue dog's anxiety or looking for a more natural approach to nutrition, I assess the whole dog—not just the symptoms—to help them find their balance. Being a Kahu isn't a title; it is a responsibility. In my home at Tharabanahalli, my own pack of rescued dogs runs free, learning organically from each other. I apply this same natural learning to every consultation, whether I am helping a family transition their senior dog to an anti-inflammatory raw diet or teaching a nervous puppy how to socialize without fear. ### The Holistic Difference I treat dogs as family, not pets. This means looking at the gut-brain connection in every consultation. If your dawg is acting out, we don't just 'correct' behavior. We look at their diet, their stress levels, and how they navigate their environment. I help with: * **Raw Feeding Transitions:** Moving from processed kibble to species-appropriate nutrition using Prey Model Raw (PMR) principles. * **Behavioral Decompression:** Using long-leash techniques and scent-based enrichment to help anxious or reactive dogs regain confidence. * **Community Care:** I am deeply involved in supporting community dogs, including proper weaning nutrition for puppies to ensure they grow strong before finding forever homes. When we work together, you get more than a plan. You get a partner who understands that every dog has a unique soul that deserves to be protected and nurtured. We focus on the 'Choices' philosophy, allowing your dog to make decisions that build trust rather than submission. If you want to move away from rigid, fear-based training and move toward a life of mutual respect, I am here to help. ## About The Urban Dawg I am Devisri, a Kahu to my pack and a guide for yours.
