That is actually the opposite of what you need. In our chair, we focus on skin prep and hydration first. By using precise color correction and thin, buildable layers of foundation, we let your natural skin breathe through. It is all about the 'less is more' approach, especially for mature or textured skin, so you end up looking like you—just on your best day. ### Why Your Real Skin is Always In We have a simple philosophy: if you are covering up every single pore, you are not doing makeup; you are wearing a mask. When we work with clients in Mumbai and Chandigarh, the most common anxiety we hear is about 'flaws'. Acne marks, open pores, dark circles, or the natural texture of skin—these are not problems to be fixed with thick, cakey layers. ### The Technique We Swear By For textured or acne-prone skin, we lean heavily into underpainting. Instead of slapping on high-coverage foundation, we spot-correct first. We use orange correctors or slightly deeper concealers to cancel out pigmentation. This way, we use significantly less foundation overall. Less product means less movement throughout the day, which is crucial for long events like your Sangeet or Reception. ### Mature Skin Demands Hydration Mature skin behaves differently. It drinks up moisture and hates heavy powders. We skip the contouring that can drag the face down and swap it for a lot of blush and strategic highlighting. The goal is to lift and brighten, not define and carve. We also keep a light hand with setting powder, focusing only on the T-zone, because we want that natural, healthy glow to shine through the finish. ### Embracing Brown Skin Tones If you have a deeper skin tone, finding the right shade match is often the biggest struggle. We have moved past the days of using grey-toned foundations that make skin look dull. We love playing with warm, yellow, and olive undertones to bring out the natural radiance of brown skin.
