Whether I am at a literature festival or a local school, the magic happens in the questions we ask after the story ends. I focus on creating a space where kids feel safe to share their own dreams and anxieties, which turns a simple reading session into a much deeper, more impactful conversation. Most people see a library as a place where you walk in, borrow a book, and leave. But for me, the joy of reading is something that needs to travel. That is why I take my storytelling programs outside, from the halls of the Jaipur Literature Festival to community centers and school assemblies. When I conduct these sessions, my priority is making learning feel less like homework and more like an adventure. I keep groups small because I want every child to be heard. We start with a story, but we always end with a discussion. Choti choti baatein aur choti choti khushiyan (small conversations and small joys) are what I live for. I use interactive techniques that get even the quietest child involved. If I am running a session for older students, we might dive into debates or creative expression. For younger ones, it is all about the wonder of a new world.
