As sisters, we started this platform to make Indian classical music accessible, focusing on 'sur' and 'sargam' in a way that feels like a friendship. **Our Approach to Teaching:** * **Play-Based Foundation:** We prioritize the power of play to introduce music to children. By using scarves, shakers, and simple stories, we help kids grasp rhythm and pitch without ever feeling like they are in a traditional, stuffy classroom. * **Mentor-Led Learning:** Every teacher at The Sound Space is chosen for their empathy as much as their musical skill. Whether it is Kamakshi's focus on mother-child bonding or our instructors leading a session of Musical Antakshari, the goal is emotional and mental well-being. * **A Space for Everyone:** From our Sound Space on Wheels initiative reaching underserved children to our adult vocal culture programs, we believe music is a universal language for every age.
