We use puppets, voice modulation, and props to make characters jump off the page. If your child is usually shy, these sessions are a safe, inclusive space where they can open up, act out scenes, and engage with other kids without the pressure of a 'perfect' performance. We don't believe in reading as a static, silent activity. At The Reading Room, our storytelling sessions are designed to pull children into the narrative. It is an immersive, screen-free experience where we use hand puppets, costumes, and even interactive sound effects to bring classic and contemporary stories to life. We structure these sessions to go beyond just listening. After the story, we jump into vocabulary games on the blackboard, interactive book reviews, or themed art projects. For example, our 'Gol Gappa' session did not just tell a story; it connected kids to their cultural roots through food, memory, and group discussion. This hands-on approach helps children process what they have heard, encouraging them to articulate their thoughts and build confidence. Whether it is a group reading session or an author meet-and-greet like our event with Kanav Agnihotri, the goal is the same: to create a community where books are not chores but friends.
