## About Wheel Throwing Classes

Wheel throwing is as much about centering your mind as it is about centering the clay. We use professional Nidec-Shimpo wheels in our studio because they provide the consistent speed and stability you need to master pulling walls, even when you are just starting out and the clay feels a bit uncooperative.

Whether you are picking up clay for the first time or looking to refine your throwing technique, our classes are structured to help you grow. We move past the basics of wedging and centering to help you gain control over your hands, allowing you to pull consistent cylinders, bowls, and vases.

Our Level 1 Wheel Throwing Course spans 10 weeks, offering a deep dive into the fundamentals. You will learn the mechanics of the wheel, how to manage water and pressure, and eventually, how to trim your pieces for that professional finish. Because we limit our batch sizes to 8, you get plenty of one-on-one guidance to work through the frustrations that naturally come with learning this craft.

Pottery is a practice of patience. You will find that some days the clay obeys, and some days it resists, but that is part of the journey. We handle the firing and glazing for your best pieces, so you get to take home a finished ceramic piece that you made from start to finish. Our HSR Layout studio is designed to be a calm space where you can disconnect from the city hustle, get your hands covered in slip, and focus entirely on the rhythm of the wheel. We welcome students from all over Bengaluru who are ready to commit to the process and join our growing community of makers.
