This is the moment I refine the silhouette, carve the foot, and finally see the piece reveal its true form, moving from a rough lump to something that feels intentional and balanced. ### Behind the Wheel Pottery is a practice of patience. Whether I am centering 5kg of clay for a large vase or working on smaller, functional tableware, the process remains the same: it requires absolute focus and a willingness to accept that clay doesn't always behave the way you want it to. ### The Custom Journey If you are looking to commission a piece, please understand that this is a slow craft. From our initial consultation to the final glaze firing, the process typically takes 3 to 4 weeks. I prioritize quality over speed, ensuring each stoneware piece is fired to 1200 degrees Celsius for durability and water resistance. ### My Process * **Wheel Throwing & Hand-building:** Every piece is individually thrown on the wheel or hand-built right here in my HSR Layout studio. * **Trimming & Refining:** This is where I define the details—the rim, the foot, and the overall weight of the vessel. * **Glazing & Firing:** I use food-safe, lead-free glazes. Because I manage the two firing cycles carefully, I cannot rush the drying or cooling times. I love sharing this process with you.
