Whether it is a hand-sculpted basin or a commemorative plate, I usually spend three to four weeks on the production—from the initial consultation to the slow drying and the double-firing cycles needed to ensure the piece lasts for years. My studio in HSR Layout is where these ideas take shape. You might see a video of a sink being glazed or a chess set coming together, but every step is intentional. I work primarily with stoneware and terracotta, handling everything from large-scale wall installations to functional tableware. If you have a specific vision—like a portrait on a platter, a custom-shaped basin for your home, or a unique gift—we start with a conversation. We discuss dimensions, usage, and material durability. I walk you through the production stages, including firing temperatures and finish choices, so you know exactly how the object will behave in your space. This isn't mass-produced work; it is slow, deliberate craft. Each piece carries the marks of my hands and the quirks of the kiln, which is exactly where the character comes from. Whether you are looking for abstract sculptures or daily dinnerware, I am here to help you turn that idea into a tangible piece of art. ## About The Potter's Place Hi, I am Bhavya. I run The Potter's Place, where clay is just my excuse to connect with people and tell their stories. Whether I am teaching a workshop or sculpting a custom piece, I am always looking for that quiet magic in the mess of the studio.
