I do not use moulds for mass production; I throw on the wheel or build by hand, letting the clay and fire find their own final shape. If you notice slight variations, that is the soul of the work—my philosophy is that being an artist means embracing mistakes, because that is where new forms begin. My studio in Jona Pur, Delhi, is where I turn raw clay into something that lives in your home. Whether it is a set of dinner plates or a sculptural moon jar, every piece follows a slow, deliberate process. I focus on high-temperature stoneware that is microwave-safe, durable, and designed for daily use, not just for display. I am deeply influenced by my time in Santiniketan and my early years in West Bengal, which taught me to respect the raw, tactile nature of clay. That is why I love techniques like Raku firing—it is unpredictable, chaotic, and beautiful, much like the process of creation itself. If you are looking for custom work, we start with a conversation. I sketch and build based on what you need, whether it is a set of illustrated mugs with sculpted handles or a statement vase for your living room. We prioritize food-safe, lead-free glazes, so your tableware is as safe as it is artistic. Come visit the studio, get your hands dirty, or let me craft a piece that feels like it belongs to you. ## About The Potter's Life I'm Suvajit, the person behind the wheel at The Potter's Life. I don't just make ceramics; I chase forms and let the fire decide the final outcome, turning raw clay into stories.
