It is because children do not need a natural gift to be musical; they need an environment where music is treated as a foundational language. By exposing them to various tonalities and rhythms during these critical early years, we are not just teaching songs, we are actively supporting their brain growth, language acquisition, and motor skills. ### Why the First Five Years Matter Research consistently shows that the window of opportunity to impact a child's music aptitude is between birth and age five. During this period, the brain is building neural pathways at an incredible speed. If we treat music as a luxury or an occasional hobby, the brain treats those connections as non-essential and prunes them away. We view music as a fundamental requirement for holistic development, not an optional extra. ### The Music Together Method We do not believe in performance-based learning where children are expected to sing perfectly or sit still. Instead, we follow the Music Together curriculum, which encourages children to explore music through movement, vocal play, and instrument jamming. Whether we are singing global folk songs or familiar rhymes like 'Aaj mangalwar hai', the focus is on the joy of participation. This is why you will see us using scarves, shakers, drums, and even bubbles to turn learning into a game. ### Your Role as the First Teacher Parents often tell me they cannot carry a tune, but that is rarely the point. Your child does not learn pitch accuracy from you; they learn to love music from you. When you participate, sing, and dance during our sessions in Bandra, Kemps Corner, Prabhadevi, or Worli, you are showing your child that music is a safe, joyful space for expression. We provide the digital app and songbooks so you can keep this momentum going at home, turning routine moments like bath time or mealtime into opportunities for connection. ## About The Musicircle I am Priyanka, and I brought the Music Together program to India because I saw how it connects children and parents through the magic of sound.
