Remember, a simple side-step with a genuine smile and consistent eye contact always beats a complicated move performed with a blank, nervous face. Practice in front of a mirror or your phone camera to see exactly how your energy lands before you hit the stage. ### Start Your Practice Early Leaving rehearsals for the final week is a recipe for stress. We always tell our students in Dwarka to start at least 3-4 weeks before the event. This gives you enough time to build muscle memory, fix your posture, and actually feel comfortable moving to the music. When you aren't counting steps in your head, you can actually enjoy the performance. ### The Importance of Song Selection Don't just pick a song because it's trending on social media. Choose a track that matches your personal energy and the 'vibe' you want to set. If you are doing a couple's dance, pick something that tells your story rather than just copying a viral reel step-for-step. We focus on the 'mukhra' (opening) and the 'antara' (verse) to ensure your routine feels complete, not just a collection of random hook steps. ### Quick Tips for Better Performance - **Record Yourself:** It feels awkward, but watching your rehearsal videos is the fastest way to spot mistakes. You will notice if your hands are too stiff or if your timing is off. - **Work on Stamina:** If you are planning a high-energy group routine, you need to build some cardio. We integrate fitness into our regular studio sessions for exactly this reason. - **Use Your Space:** Practice at home in the same shoes you plan to wear on the big day. It makes a massive difference in your balance and confidence. Whether you are joining our group sessions or doing a private 1-on-1, the goal is always to move with full-on joy. Don't think, just dance. ## About The Marun Choreography We are Megha and Arun, and we believe dance is just a state of mind.
