It might be a water feature, a specific corner for a lounge chair, or a vertical wall. By establishing this anchor, we prevent the garden from feeling cluttered and instead give it a clear, intentional purpose that guides the rest of the layout. ### My Design Process Designing a garden is not just about aesthetics; it is about how the space makes you feel. My process starts with a physical survey of your balcony or terrace to assess technical factors that many overlook, such as wind speed, sunlight direction, and drainage points. Once we have the technical foundation, I draft a 3D mood board. This step is critical because it helps you visualize the outcome before we move a single stone. We discuss your needs—do you want a pet-friendly area, a yoga corner, or a low-maintenance setup for busy professionals? ### Designing for Small Spaces Many people think a small balcony can only hold a few pots. I believe every square inch counts. I use vertical garden installations and hanging planters to draw the eye upward, effectively doubling your green footprint without taking up floor space.
