Our methodology, including Ashley Lobo's Prana Paint™ technique, demands patience because we prioritize alignment, core strength, and breath before teaching complex choreography. You will spend significant time on technical drills at the barre, which is the only reliable way to build the physical vocabulary needed to move freely and safely. Dance training is often misunderstood as simply learning a series of movements. At The Danceworx, we view it as a discipline of the mind and body. Our philosophy, 'Foundation Builds Fancy,' guides every class, from beginner ballet to advanced jazz funk. We believe that true creative freedom can only exist when your body knows how to handle the demands of the choreography. Without a solid technical base, dancers risk injury and hit a ceiling in their development. This is why our curriculum includes focused work on ballet fundamentals, which we consider the cornerstone of our craft. Our studios are equipped with sprung wood floors, a critical safety feature that protects your joints during jumps and floor work. We cap our intake to 15-20 students per batch, ensuring our instructors can provide individual posture and alignment corrections. This is not just a dance class.
