We start by focusing on your balance and core engagement, because your ankles need to hold you up before they can carry a routine. Whether you are prepping for a stage performance or just looking to add some flair to your movement, we make sure you learn the mechanics of weight distribution first so you can dance safely and look sharp. Our heels workshops focus on more than just the aesthetic. We treat heels as an extension of your body, which means we spend time on the basics of posture and lines before we get into the high-paced choreography. In these 60 to 90-minute sessions, we prioritize safe movement practices to prevent injury while keeping the energy high. ### Why Technique Matters Just because the movement is flashy doesn't mean the fundamentals can be skipped. In our heels batches, we teach you how to transition your weight effectively so you aren't relying solely on the shoe to balance. This builds the strength and stamina required to perform for longer durations without losing form. ### What You Get Out of a Session Every heels workshop is designed as a complete experience: * **Choreography-Centric:** We guide you through routines that emphasize fluidity and attitude. * **Performance Ready:** Many sessions conclude with a chance to perform and film your routine under studio lighting, which is a great way to track your progress. * **Individual Feedback:** With capped class sizes, our instructors provide specific corrections on your posture and rhythm, ensuring you actually improve rather than just repeating steps. We recommend bringing comfortable, sturdy heels you can move in. If you are new to this style, we suggest starting with our technique-focused workshops to understand how to engage your muscles properly before moving to faster, more complex routines. ## About The Danceworx I’m Ashley Lobo, and I started The Danceworx to give dancers a real space to grow, whether you are in Mumbai, Delhi, or Pune.
