Training isn't about dominance or control, it is about clear communication. I use positive reinforcement to build a relationship with your dog based on mutual respect, not fear.

## About My Training Philosophy

Think of treats not as bribes, but as a salary. If your dog doesn't find the work rewarding, they won't put in the effort. If you are stuck using dry kibble while asking for complex tasks, it is like asking a professional to work for pennies. Switch to something high-value, like boiled chicken, and watch how quickly their motivation shifts.

Most people think training is about dominance. It is not. It is about psychology. My approach is built on three pillars: Patience, Perseverance, and Consistency. Without these, no technique, no matter how modern, will work.

### The Three Pillars
* **Patience:** It is about managing your own frustration. If you are angry, you aren't teaching; you are just scaring the dog. You must remain calm to be a good teacher.
* **Perseverance:** Your dog is persistent when they want something. You need to be more persistent in your teaching. If a method does not work, we adapt rather than giving up.
* **Consistency:** There are no weekends in a dog's life. If 'no' means 'no' on Tuesday but 'maybe' on Wednesday, you are only creating confusion. Habits are formed through repetition, and consistency is the key to making those habits stick.

### Why Positive Reinforcement Works
I focus on redirection rather than just saying 'no'. Stop using the name as a warning. Stop repeating commands. Start using a marker word, like 'yep', to capture the exact moment of success. Your dog is always trying to communicate; we just need to learn how to listen. Whether you are dealing with puppy biting or complex behavioral issues, the goal is always to move beyond basic obedience and foster a deeper understanding between you and your dog.
