When we read a story like 'How to Code a Rollercoaster,' the kids immediately start laying out yarn and floor grids to physically construct the algorithm. They see the logic, test the sequence, and debug their own tracks before they ever touch a computer. It is physical, it is tactile, and it gets them thinking like programmers without staring at a device. ### Why Screen-Free Matters We believe early exposure to coding should not mean more time in front of a monitor. Our unplugged sessions focus on foundational computational thinking, which is the logic behind the code. By using tactile tools like pattern-matching cards, velcro logic strips, and LEGO Education kits, we make abstract concepts like loops and variables feel like a game. ### What Happens in a Session? Our sessions are designed for small groups of 4 to 8 children. This ensures that every child gets individual mentorship as they work through: - **Sequencing:** Learning how to put steps in the right order using interactive storytelling exercises. - **Algorithmic Logic:** Using physical floor grids to navigate obstacles, teaching them to think in directions and commands. - **Debugging:** We read stories about 'unspotted bugs' and craft our own debugging hats, helping children understand that errors are just puzzles waiting to be solved. ### Our Approach in Mumbai We run these workshops out of Lodha Evoq, Wadala East. Because our approach is holistic, we often blend sensory play with logic training.
