Whether I am assembling a hanging chandelier cake at a Lonavala sangeet or calibrating a rotating castle in Mulund, the real work happens in the on-site setup. I personally handle the mechanics—the food-grade dowels, the motors, and the structural integrity—so you do not have to worry about the cake surviving the party. When you want a cake that stops traffic, you are looking for more than just flour and sugar. I treat these showstoppers as structural projects. My kinetic cakes use food-grade motors to create movement, like the rotating princess castle or the spinning disco ball designs I have built for parties across Mumbai. ### The Engineering Behind the Art People often ask how the cake stays upright or how it spins. The secret is internal support. For my floating or chandelier cakes, I use custom-engineered stands and heavy-duty dowels to ensure the tiers are secure. For the moving pieces, like the kinetic butterfly wings or rotating bases, I test the mechanics in my studio long before the event. ### Why Logistics Matter Because these designs involve lights, motors, or hanging structures, they require professional handling. I transport them in air-conditioned vehicles to keep the ganache and fondant stable, and I personally handle the on-site assembly. Whether it is a wedding in Aamby Valley or a birthday bash in Juhu, I ensure the structural integrity remains perfect from the moment I set it up until the cutting ceremony. ### Planning Your Showstopper If you have a vision, share it. I love the challenge of turning complex ideas into reality. Whether you want a light-up tiara for a 40th birthday or a multi-tier structure with integrated fairy lights, I will figure out how to make it happen while keeping everything 100% eggless. ## About The Bake Room I am Bejal, and I started The Bake Room to turn big emotions into edible art. I do not just bake; I build, especially for cakes that need to float, spin, or light up. If you have a wild vision for your wedding or birthday, I am the one who will figure out the mechanics to make it stand up and steal the show.
