Before a single fixture is installed, I create an AutoCAD layout for your space, calculating exact lux levels to ensure the light serves both your practical needs and your desired ambiance. Lighting design is rarely about one single type of bulb or fixture. It is about layering light to build depth and function in a room. My process for these diverse concepts starts with understanding how you move through your space. I look at where you read, where you entertain, and where you need shadows to create a sense of calm. ### The Technical Approach Engineering creates the structure, but design brings the emotion. Whether I am working on a residence in Delhi or a commercial project in Guwahati, my first step is always the site analysis. I map ceiling heights, architectural constraints, and natural light sources to define the requirements. This ensures that when we select a fixture, it is scaled correctly and positioned to minimize glare while maximizing impact. ### Versatile Solutions This collection highlights the range of my work, from architectural lighting that highlights specific wall textures to decorative installations that act as the room's focal point. You will see examples of: * **Architectural Precision:** Recessed spots and strip lighting used to define the geometry of a room. * **Atmospheric Lighting:** Pendants and wall sconces placed to generate warmth and intimacy. * **Functional Illumination:** Task-oriented lighting designed for kitchens, home offices, and study areas. ### Bringing Ideas to Reality Design ideas often fail at the installation stage if the planning is not thorough. I stay involved from the initial concept and electrical briefing to the final aiming of spotlights. This hands-on involvement allows for adjustments in real time, ensuring the final result matches the vision we established in the layouts. If you have a specific space that requires a fresh perspective, I am happy to discuss how we can apply these principles to your home or office. ## About The Aurum I started The Aurum because I believe lighting should be subtle, not loud. My background as an engineer means I focus on the technical details—the wiring, the placement, the brightness—so that your lights look refined and perform exactly as they should.
