Whether we are trekking in the winter or presiding over academic conferences at YCMOU, the goal is always the same: to show you that yoga is a full-time profession, not just a weekend hobby. ### Beyond the Mat: A Holistic Approach At The Ashtanga Institute, we believe the best teachers are those who live the lifestyle. You won't find us locked in a room staring at textbooks all day. Our students explore the roots of this practice through study tours to historical locations like Kaivalyadham and the Beatles Ashram in Rishikesh, where history meets spirituality. ### Building Connections Community is at the core of our culture. We celebrate festivals like Diwali and Independence Day together because unity is a pillar of yogic life. These gatherings aren't just for fun; they help you build the social skills and team spirit you will need to run your own workshops and classes effectively. ### Professional Development We bridge the gap between spiritual practice and professional success. You will see us participating in industry panel discussions, like the HR Infotech Association event, or chairing paper presentations at YCMOU conferences. We want our students to see that yoga is a respected, viable career path. When you join us, you are not just getting a certification; you are stepping into a network of professionals who understand both the science of the body and the business of wellness. ## About The Ashtanga Institute I founded The Ashtanga Institute to bridge the gap between traditional wisdom and modern career demands. We keep it real—no fluff, just honest training, shared experiences, and the hard work required to build a life in yoga.
