Every student project you see is a result of us stripping away the urge to copy and focusing on the messy, rigorous process of design thinking. If you are here to build a portfolio, prepare for an entrance exam, or just rediscover your artistic voice, expect daily feedback, real-world briefs, and honest critique in our Prabhadevi studio. ### Beyond the Canvas: The Art of Thinking Art education should not be about recreating a photograph. In our studio, we emphasize the 'why' and 'how' of every stroke, layout, and material choice. Whether you are a high schooler prepping for NID, Parsons, or RISD, or an adult looking to break out of a creative rut, our approach remains the same: we focus on the process, not just the finished artwork. ### Why Process Documentation Matters When admissions juries look at a portfolio, they do not just want to see polished final pieces. They want to see how you solve problems. That is why our students spend as much time on their sketchbooks as they do on canvas. We encourage you to fill pages with material tests, failed experiments, peer critique notes, and ideation drafts. This messy documentation proves to universities that you are a serious creator who can sustain an idea from concept to execution. ### Our Studio Environment Located in the heart of Mumbai at Prabhadevi, our studio functions less like a classroom and more like a creative lab. You will work alongside peers who are equally driven, often engaging in lively debates during our group critique sessions. We provide access to specialized tools and professional mentorship, ensuring you learn not just the technical skills of drawing or design, but the professional mindset needed to succeed in competitive art programs. We believe in creating a space where you can take risks. If you are ready to stop copying and start building a body of work that is authentically yours, you are in the right place. ## About Purnima Sampat I started this studio because I believe art is about how you think, not just what you draw.
