This course is the antidote to that. We do not teach you how to copy a picture, we teach you how to see. You will spend the year navigating the space between your initial idea and the final result, working through the messy middle where the real learning happens. Most art education focuses on mimicking the teacher's hand. That gets you a decent copy, but it does not make you an artist. Our Art Foundation Course is built to break that habit. Throughout this year, you will rotate through drawing, painting, and mixed media modules, but the goal is not just to master the brushstroke. The goal is to build a body of work that actually looks like you. We spend time in South Mumbai galleries and museums because you need to understand the context of what you are doing. Yes, it culminates in a real exhibition. We do not just teach techniques; we guide you through the frustrating, often messy process of bringing an idea to life from start to finish. If you have been searching for an art school experience in Mumbai that prioritizes your creative voice over rigid rules, this is the space for you. ## About Purnima Sampat We are a team of artists who stopped caring about perfect results and started caring about real expression. We built this studio to be a messy, lively, and honest space where adults can finally take their art practice seriously.
