The silica gel dehydration alone takes 7 to 14 days to ensure the petals stay vibrant and do not rot inside the resin. I never rush this stage. If you are planning to send me your varmala or wedding bouquet, please reach out as soon as the wedding ends, ideally within 48 hours, so we can start the drying process before the flowers lose their natural shape. When you choose to preserve your wedding flowers with me, you are not just getting a resin frame; you are getting a piece of your history that I have carefully crafted by hand. ### Why the Process Matters Because I work alone, I treat every order as a collaborative project. Whether it is a traditional varmala frame or a modern engagement ring platter, the process starts with you sharing the story behind the pieces. Some clients send me just the flowers, while others include wedding cards, jewelry, or photos of the ceremonies. Every added item changes how I design the layout. ### Customization Options I work with various bases, from 10 to 12 inch teakwood frames to custom-shaped resin platters. We can discuss: * **Floral Preservation:** How to incorporate your specific varmala or bouquet into a square, hexagon, or 3D letter block. * **Layout & Aesthetics:** Whether you prefer a minimalist look with just the flowers or a detailed piece featuring photos, dates, and cultural symbols. * **Personalization:** Adding names in gold vinyl or incorporating sentimental trinkets like kaleeras or invitation cards. ### Caring for Your Keepsake Resin is durable, but it thrives on care. I use high-quality, high-gloss epoxy, but keep your piece away from direct, harsh sunlight for long periods to maintain the integrity of the pressed flowers. If you have questions about whether your specific wedding mementos can be preserved, just send me a message. I am always happy to look at the flowers and tell you what is possible. ## About Olive Lane by Pragya Arya Hey, I am Pragya.
