I recommend grass backdrops for naming ceremonies because they make character cutouts pop, while for more formal events like a Holy Communion, I lean into clean arched panels with muted balloon tones to keep the look elegant. Whether you are planning a naamkaran or a special milestone, the goal is to balance the celebration’s vibe with a backdrop that looks great in photos. ### Naming Ceremonies These are all about energy. The Jungle Safari theme is a favorite here, and for good reason—it is visually fun for kids and adults. I use synthetic grass backdrops to anchor the scene, then layer on balloon arches and character cutouts. It creates a 3D effect that feels like a mini-jungle right in your living room or venue. If you have a specific color palette in mind, bas batao (just tell me), and I will adjust the balloon tones to match. ### Holy Communion & Formal Milestones When the event calls for something more subtle, I shift the design approach. For events like a Holy Communion, I often use arched backdrop panels instead of traditional walls. Combining these with soft-hued, matte-finish balloons and natural elements like dried pampas grass gives the setup an elevated, rustic feel without losing the celebratory touch. ### Practical Setup Details I handle the entire setup across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. My team arrives with the frames, the custom name cutouts, and the lighting—usually LED PAR cans to ensure the backdrop looks as good on camera as it does in person. We focus on the details that make the space feel personalized, like custom signage and theme-matched props. Since these setups take between 90 to 120 minutes to assemble, I make sure we are in and out before your guests arrive, leaving you with a stress-free space to enjoy the occasion. ## About The Hippo Balloons I’m the person behind The Hippo Balloons, and I love helping families in Mumbai mark their big days.
