Whether you need custom planter boxes to maximize narrow corners or a full pergola setup for privacy, we manage the technical details—like proper drainage, structural lighting, and soil quality—to ensure your plants thrive in the Indian climate, not just survive. Transforming a concrete balcony into an outdoor sanctuary requires a balance between aesthetic appeal and biological reality. Many homeowners struggle with plants that wilt due to improper soil mix or poor drainage, which is why our process starts with an assessment of your space's sunlight and ventilation. ### Our Approach to Outdoor Living * **Zen Balcony Design:** We specialize in creating structured, calming environments. Our Zen packages often include hardscaping features like river stones, minimalist lighting, and feature elements (like stone Buddhas or water fountains) that require minimal ongoing effort. * **Vertical Greenery:** For smaller balconies, we utilize wall space. We install modular, rust-proof frames with geotextile lining, allowing you to have a lush vertical garden without sacrificing floor space. * **Hardscape & Privacy:** We install bamboo screening or trellises to create a private, shaded seating area. This structure not only adds visual texture but also provides the support needed for climbing plants to flourish. ### The Science of Survival Plants in elevated containers face different challenges than ground-level vegetation. We use pest-free, odorless indoor potting mixes and ensure that every planter box or container includes concealed drainage channels. This protects your flooring from water stains and prevents root rot. ### Your Vision, Our Expertise Every project begins with a 2D and 3D preview, so you can see exactly how the layout will work before we break ground. We handle the entire execution—from selecting the right palms and ferns that suit your balcony’s microclimate, to setting up the lighting that makes your space look as good at night as it does during the day. ## About Thavaram We are a team of garden designers and horticulturists who believe a home is incomplete without a connection to nature.
