We design our lab layouts with modular storage and specific activity zones so that a class of 30 can work on robotics and electronics projects simultaneously without clutter or safety hazards. Our focus is on ensuring the space meets government compliance standards while remaining functional for daily classroom use. Setting up an Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) involves balancing specific government guidelines with the practical realities of a school environment. Since 2015, we have navigated these requirements, moving beyond mere equipment procurement to create environments that facilitate active learning. ### Our ATL Setup Approach We prioritize layouts that allow for both individual project work and collaborative group activity. A typical installation includes: * **Activity Zoning:** Distinct areas for robotics assembly, 3D printing, and software coding, ensuring tools are organized and accessible. * **Modular Infrastructure:** Workstations that can be reconfigured for different project sizes, from small circuits to large-scale robotic prototypes. * **Tooling & Safety:** Installation of proper electrical grounding, soldering stations with fume extraction, and organized tool storage to minimize maintenance and maximize longevity. ### Compliance & Support We understand that ATL grants require adherence to strict documentation and audit standards. Our team assists with the necessary inventory logs and safety certifications to ensure your school meets all NITI Aayog parameters. Beyond hardware, we focus on the human element. The best lab is useless without trained teachers. We conduct workshops for your staff on managing the equipment, handling minor troubleshooting, and integrating the lab modules into your school's existing CBSE or ICSE curriculum. Whether you are aiming for district-level competitions or simply encouraging DIY skills, our support extends to curriculum planning and mentor training. ## About Techradiance We started Techradiance because we wanted kids to swap passive learning for building real things. We design our labs to be spaces where curiosity, not just the textbook, leads the way.
