When our students step into the ring, they aren't just fighting an opponent, they are demonstrating the 'Three S's'—Speed, Stamina, and Strength—we drill into every session, whether you're just starting out or preparing for a state-level showdown. Success on the podium starts long before the championship whistle blows. At SSKKA, we follow the WAKO standards for kickboxing and traditional Shito Ryu principles for karate. This isn't just for our competitive athletes; it is the standard for every student who joins our family. ### Why Our Training Produces Results * **Technique Over Flash:** We prioritize fundamental skills. Whether it is Kihon (basics) or complex Bunkai, our students learn the 'why' behind every move. * **Competitive Rigor:** Our students train in real sparring scenarios, learning light contact and point fighting under the watchful eyes of certified black belt instructors. * **Consistent Conditioning:** You cannot win without the 'Three S's'. Our 20-30 minute warm-ups focus on calisthenics and sprints, ensuring athletes are physically prepared for the demands of tournament rounds. ### Building Champions in Mumbai Our track record in regional and state championships is a direct result of our coaching culture. From the 22nd State Level Karate Championship where we secured 24 medals, to recent WAKO district events, our approach remains the same: we build warriors who value discipline as much as victory. Whether you are aiming for gold medals or simply want to learn self-defense, our training programs in Sion, Chembur, and Lalbaug provide the structure you need. Our motto, 'Jinku Kiva Maru' (We win or we die), isn't just a slogan—it is the mindset we instill in every child and adult who walks through our doors. ## About Shito Ryu Sports Karate & Kickboxing Association I’m Shihan Umesh Murkar. For 25 years, I’ve built this family on one simple philosophy: 'Jinku Kiva Maru'—Win or Die. We don't just teach moves; we train warriors who stand tall on the podium with the same discipline they bring to our classes every evening.
