Whether you are at our centers in Sion, Chembur, or Lalbaug, you will spend your first few weeks focusing on fundamental stances, footwork, and conditioning. We believe speed, stamina, and strength are the non-negotiables of martial arts, and we drill these basics until they become muscle memory. ### Our Approach to Martial Arts We teach Shito Ryu karate and competitive kickboxing, but our real goal is character development. When you join our dojo, you are not just signing up for a class. You are joining a community that has been training students since 1999. **What you will learn with us:** * **Shito Ryu Karate:** We start with Kihon (basics) and Kata (forms) to build your foundation. It is repetitive, physical, and requires patience. You will learn to move with purpose. * **WAKO-Standard Kickboxing:** For those looking to compete, we follow global WAKO standards. This means real drills, controlled sparring, and rigorous conditioning to get you ready for the ring. * **Self-Defense:** Our workshops are open to anyone. We teach practical, real-world techniques that do not require elite strength, just the right strategy. ### Why Train at SSKKA? We train everyone. From 5-year-olds taking their first steps on a mat to adults looking for fitness, and students with special needs. We have seen our students grow from shy children into confident medal winners at state and national levels.
