This ensures the music remains at peak intensity exactly when you are walking in, rather than fading out. We coordinate closely with your event planner on the exact timing of your entry so our rhythm builds up right as you reach the stage. When you bring a Chenda Melam troupe to a wedding, you are looking for more than just background music; you want a crowd-puller. We handle both outdoor processions and indoor stage performances, but the logistics for each are different. ### Traditional Shinkari Melam for Baraats For outdoor wedding entries and baraat processions, we rely on pure acoustic power. You do not need any sound system here. Our team of 6 to 15 artists, depending on your event size, performs while walking, creating a dense wall of rhythm. We wear traditional Kasavu Mundu and keep the tempo fast to match the walking pace of the groom's procession. ### Fusion Sets for Sangeet Nights If you are booking us for a sangeet stage performance, we shift to our fusion format. We combine the deep bass of the Chenda with a melodic lead, such as an electric violinist or keyboardist playing popular film tracks. Unlike our procession work, this requires a professional PA system at your venue. We need 30 minutes for a sound check before the event to ensure the blend between the traditional drums and the melody is perfectly balanced. ### Coordination Whether it is a temple-style entry or a high-tempo sangeet track, we align our performance style with your event flow. If you have a specific entrance song, let us know in advance so we can incorporate our drumming beats to complement the track rather than compete with it. ## About Team Malayalees We are Team Malayalees, born into the rhythm of Chenda drums. We do not just play; we bring the pulse of Kerala festivals directly to your sangeet stage or wedding procession. We live for the energy of a crowd and are ready to bring that noise to your special day.
