Students are rigorously evaluated on their precision in kata, their composure during sparring (kumite), and their mental fortitude under pressure. It is a formal, serious environment where every movement is scrutinized by senior instructors to ensure the student has truly mastered the level, not just memorized the steps. ### The Path to the Next Belt For us, a belt test is more than a ceremony. It is the culmination of weeks of sweat, repetition, and correction. When a student steps onto the puzzle mats for a grading, they are proving to themselves that they have the discipline to follow through. Whether it is a beginner's first yellow belt or a more advanced rank, the expectations remain the same: correct form, sharp execution, and respect for the tradition. ### More Than Just Practice We believe in testing skills against real-world challenges, not just in theory. Our students frequently participate in state and national karate championships, like the All India Sub Junior Karate Championship. Competing in venues like the Talkatora Stadium pushes our students to perform outside their comfort zone. It teaches them how to handle defeat with grace and victory with humility. We don't just teach karate; we teach kids how to be champions in their own lives. ### What Parents Should Expect If you are considering enrolling your child, understand that this is a journey of patience. We do not rush the grading process. We want to see growth in consistency, attendance, and attitude. When you see our students displaying their certificates, you are looking at hours of practice and the development of an unbreakable spirit. Adi mar (Hit it) and let's get started. ## About Amarsha Karate & Fitness Academy I am Sensei Amarsha, and I run AKFA with a simple philosophy: train to inspire. My students aren't just here to sweat; they are here to build the kind of discipline that stays with them long after they leave the dojo. We’re a family that celebrates every milestone, whether it's a first yellow belt or a podium finish at a national championship.
