We hold ourselves to high standards by inviting external examiners, such as the masters from Phoenix Academy, to test our students. This ensures that when a student earns a new belt, it reflects genuine skill in Kihon, Kata, and Kumite, verified by experts. Earning a belt at AKFA is not about buying a rank. It is a rite of passage that tests a student's grit, focus, and technical precision. Whether it is a young student aiming for their first yellow belt or a dedicated practitioner working towards their black belt, the process remains the same. ### The Testing Process Each grading is comprehensive. Students are evaluated on: - **Kihon (Basics):** The foundation of every movement. - **Kata (Forms):** Testing flow, precision, and memory. - **Kumite (Sparring):** Demonstrating control, reflexes, and the application of techniques under pressure. We also incorporate physical conditioning assessments, including push-ups and sit-ups, to ensure that the mental toughness matches the physical stamina. This is about building character that translates into the classroom and everyday life. ### A Community Achievement When you see our students at an exam, you will notice they aren't just fighting for themselves. We push and support one another like family. Following the intensity of the exams, we celebrate together, reinforcing that while martial arts is a personal journey, you never have to walk it alone. Achieving a black belt is not the finish line, but the beginning of a true Karateka’s journey. If you are looking for a discipline-focused environment where your child or yourself can grow, come train with us. Adi mar! ## About Amarsha Karate & Fitness Academy I'm Coach Amar, and I believe karate isn't just about fighting; it is a way to build character that lasts a lifetime.
