My secret trick is to use a brush for 90% of the work to place and diffuse pigment exactly where it needs to be, then use a damp sponge only for a final, light tapping motion. It saves time and prevents that muddy, over-worked look that ruins a perfect base. ### Teaching You to Master the Art I believe makeup should be accessible, whether you are getting ready for a board meeting or training to become a professional artist. My goal is to simplify complex techniques so you can achieve that 'glass skin' finish or the perfect cut-crease without needing an entire store's worth of products. ### My Core Philosophies * **Skin is Zimmedari:** I never start with heavy foundation. My process always begins with deep hydration and skin-appropriate prepping. If you have acne-prone or sensitive skin, the prep work is where 80% of your success lies, not in the concealer. * **The Power of Limited Products:** You don't need a hundred brushes to create magic. I show my students how to use one multi-purpose fluffy brush for eyes and a single good blender for the face. It is about technique, not the number of products on your vanity. * **Smokey Eyes Made Easy:** Forget the intimidation of heavy black lids. I teach an 'easy-smokey' technique using brown tones that look classy, soft, and perfect for Indian brides. It is all about the smudging movement and building the intensity slowly. ### Learning at Taran Virdi Makeovers I started my academy in Lajpat Nagar because I wanted to offer hands-on training that I didn't get when I started.
