Because our in-house artists create each piece from scratch, we can customize deities, dimensions, and specific details like jewelry patterns or color palettes without charging extra fees. ### The Art of Tanjore Our Tanjore paintings are more than just wall decor; they are a centuries-old tradition brought into the modern home. The process is meditative and meticulous. We start by preparing a sturdy wooden board, onto which a drawing of the deity is traced. We then build up the relief work using a paste made of chalk powder and glue, creating the raised texture that gives these paintings their signature three-dimensional feel. Once the relief is set, we apply the 22-karat gold foil, a step that requires incredible precision to ensure a lasting luster. Finally, the painting is finished with vibrant, long-lasting colors and studded with semi-precious stones. This dedication to authentic materials is why we provide an authenticity certificate with every piece. ### Beyond Tanjore: Kerala Murals & Canvas While we are deeply rooted in Tanjore craftsmanship, our studio also explores other divine art forms. Our Kerala mural art captures the earthy, bold, and spiritual aesthetic synonymous with Southern traditions. We also create unique canvas paintings that blend traditional motifs with modern composition, perfect for spaces that need a dash of culture without being overly ornate. ### Customization & Your Space We know that finding the right size or deity for your pooja room or living area can be tricky. Whether you want a specific form of Lord Ganesha, a grand Ramar Pattabhishekam for your entrance, or a compact Balaji for your work desk, we can make it happen. You provide the vision—the size, the style, and the deity—and our artisans will craft it to your exact specifications. No templates, just art made for your home. ## About Tarang Arts We started Tarang to share the magic of Indian handicrafts, making heritage art accessible to everyone.
