Don't just rely on a single bright ceiling light for your bedroom. I layer three distinct sources—like soft cove lighting for mood, warm bedside sconces for reading, and a feature pendant for depth—to completely change how a room feels the moment you walk in after a long day. It is a simple shift that makes the biggest difference in creating that cozy, switch-off vibe. ### Designing Your Personal Escape Most people think a bedroom is just about the bed and a wardrobe. I think it is about how you live in the hours before you sleep and the minutes after you wake up. My approach is to strip away the clutter. We focus on: * **Texture over Color:** If you are scared of bold shades, you are not alone. I often work with natural textures—wood paneling, stone finishes, and linen fabrics—to create warmth without needing loud colors. * **The Functional Nook:** Need a space to read, work, or just stare at the wall? We often convert underutilized corners into custom study nooks or reading alcoves. * **Smart Storage:** Floor-to-ceiling wardrobes don't have to look like monoliths. We detail them with materials that blend into the wall or add subtle glass accents so the room feels open, not cramped. ### How We Work Together Design is a journey, and it is rarely a straight line. When we start a bedroom project, we don't just dump a pre-made design on you. We look at your habits. Do you read in bed? Do you need a place to drop your phone and keys? Does your partner want a different reading light than you? We sort out the electrical points, the false ceiling for that ambient cove lighting, and the carpentry details so everything feels built-in and intentional. Whether you want a moody, dark-veneer cocoon or a bright, tropical-inspired retreat, let's talk about what actually helps you sleep better. ## About Tangram I am Shraddha, and at Tangram, we don't believe in picking design styles out of a magazine. Whether you want a moody, dark retreat or a bright, tropical-inspired haven, we work with you to find exactly what makes you feel at home. It is all about creating a space that works for you, not just looks good in a photo.
