If it’s a Mango Fiesta, you’ll find me with mango-inspired stories and puppets; if it's Christmas, we’re talking festive folktales and characters, always adapted to the specific age group in the room. Seasonal themes are not just background noise for my performances; they are the heart of the storytelling. When I plan a show for a holiday—whether it is a spooky Halloween special at a local school or a bright Christmas celebration at a museum—I adapt everything. The puppets change, the songs shift to match the mood, and the narratives are woven to fit the spirit of the day. For a Mango Fiesta in Kolkata, I shared stories about summer childhoods and the joy of simple, sticky-fingered memories. For Christmas, I might bring out the Gingerbread Man, but with a twist that gets every child in the room participating. It’s about taking a familiar festival and adding a layer of performance that encourages kids to interact, roleplay, and engage deeply with the stories. Whether you are planning a school festive day, a community event, or a celebration with a specific theme, I work with you to choose the right folktales and puppet characters. It’s not a one-size-fits-all package; it’s a living performance that changes based on who is in the audience and what we are celebrating together. I travel across India with my stage setup and puppet friends, ready to bring these seasonal stories to life in schools, libraries, bookstores, and event venues. ## About Talking Turtles Storytellers I’m Shreedevi. I believe every holiday needs a good story, and my puppets are always ready to help me tell it. Whether it's a spooky tale or a festive joyride, I'm here to bring that magic to your next gathering.
