We use long lenses and low-profile gear because the last thing you need is a camera in your face when you are saying goodbye to your family. My goal is to capture that honest moment where you look back one last time, completely unaware that we are even there. The farewell ceremony is rarely about the perfect shot; it is about the feeling. When I document the Bidai, I am not looking for posed expressions. I am looking for the tightness in a mother’s hug, the way a father tries to hold back tears, or that final, reflective look from the bride in the car. My approach is entirely unobtrusive. I believe that if you feel conscious of the lens, you will never be fully present in the moment. By keeping a distance and using natural light where possible, I ensure that the photos remain authentic. This is often when my 'comfort-first' philosophy matters most. Because I have spent time with you and your family earlier in the wedding, by the time the Bidai happens, my team is no longer viewed as 'vendors' but as part of the support system. This trust allows us to be present during these private, vulnerable moments without intruding on the sanctity of your goodbyes. Whether you are based in Nashik or Mumbai, my team and I handle these emotional transitions with the sensitivity they deserve. We do not rush this part of the process, and we do not ask you to 'pose' through your tears. We simply wait for the story to unfold. ## About Jay Thakkar I'm Jay.
