Many new parents accidentally create leash-pulling habits because they focus on distance instead of engagement. Your living room, hallway, and balcony are your best classrooms for the first few weeks. If you can build focus indoors, your outdoor walks will be a breeze later on. The first few months with a puppy are often described as the 'piranha phase'. It feels like constant biting, chewing, and chaos, but this is a normal developmental stage. I help you handle this by teaching redirection techniques that protect your hands and furniture while satisfying your puppy's urge to chew. ### Why Indoor Foundation Matters Most people think training happens on a walk. In reality, a puppy is easily overwhelmed by outside sounds, smells, and distractions. If you try to teach 'stay' or 'come' in a busy park, you are setting yourself up for failure. We start by building a strong 'communication loop' inside your home. Whether it is desensitizing them to touch so vet visits are stress-free or setting up a safe zone to manage potty training, we focus on what matters most in your daily routine. ### Handling and Desensitization One of the most overlooked parts of puppy prep is teaching them to be comfortable with human touch. We practice handling paws, ears, and tails in a way that feels safe, not invasive. This prevents fear later on, especially when you need to groom them or take them to the vet. ### My Approach I do not believe in harsh corrections or forceful discipline. My method is entirely reward-based, meaning we look for ways to make 'good' choices the most rewarding ones for your dog. Whether you need a virtual session to talk through breed selection or an in-home audit to puppy-proof your space in Bangalore, I am here to make sure you are ready, not just winging it. Let's work together to set your puppy up for success. ## About TailSpin I left my HR job to follow my heart and my Indie girl, Mishti, who is my greatest teacher.
