His mom consulted with me before bringing him home, and together we chose Roger based on his temperament and her lifestyle, proving that pre-adoption counseling is a game changer. This video shows that with the right guidance and positive techniques, a dog of any age can be trained and become a wonderful companion.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/5a033a2f-ca8a-4d53-a3e7-76f5d01746b4) - [Video: Wondering if online sessions work? Meet Fiji from Montreal, Canada! Her family reached out to me when she was just a two month old puppy. Here I am with five month old Joy, who has come so far from his life on the streets to being a cherished family member. My goal is to help families understand the unique needs of indie dogs and build a beautiful, trusting relationship from day one.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/28cfc4b7-1047-4d88-9a42-6563d028086d) ## About Client Success Stories Whether it’s preparing for a rescue like Roger or setting up routines for a puppy in another country like Fiji, the common thread here is proactive communication. We don’t just train dogs to sit; we teach parents how to speak their dog's language. It's not magic, just consistent, reward-based guidance that works for any age or breed. Dog training is often misunderstood as 'fixing' a problem. In reality, it’s about coaching the human to understand their dog's perspective. My approach at TailSpin is rooted in being force-free and reward-based. As you'll see in these stories, whether it's an adopted Indie like Joy or a Golden Retriever puppy abroad, the goal is always the same: a harmonious home. ### What these stories tell us: * **Preparation Matters:** Just like the pre-adoption counseling I provided for Roger’s family, planning before the dog arrives changes everything. It helps you pick the right fit for your lifestyle. * **Virtual Training is Real:** Geography doesn't limit progress. From Montreal to Bengaluru, we can establish solid routines, crate training, and obedience markers via video calls. * **It's a Team Effort:** You aren't just 'dropping your dog off' to be trained. You are learning the techniques—like crate introduction, leash manners, and calm settling—so you can continue the practice every day. I don't believe in quick fixes or harsh corrections. I believe in giving your dog the clarity they need to make the right choices. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, know that every behavior issue is usually just a communication gap waiting to be bridged. ## About TailSpin I’m the force-free trainer behind TailSpin, and my work is entirely inspired by my own Indie girl, Mishti. I’m here to help you skip the frustration and focus on building a real, lasting bond with your dog, whether you're just starting out or working through tough behaviors.
