In these sessions, we focus on hand placement and rhythm cycles that work for everything from modern pop tracks to traditional wedding songs. It is less about strict theory and more about feeling the beat. ### More Than Just Beats At Rythem Home Music Academy, learning the dholak is a full experience. We skip the boring, stiff textbooks. Instead, we play. You will learn to control the bass and the treble sides of the dholak, understanding how to transition between them for a smooth flow. ### What We Cover * **Folk and Wedding Grooves:** Master the rhythms that get everyone dancing at Punjabi weddings and Sangeets. * **Devotional Rhythms:** Learn the specific patterns needed for Bhajans, Aartis, and Jagran sessions where the dholak carries the melody. * **Pop and Fusion:** We break down trending songs and film tracks, teaching you to play along with the music you actually listen to. ### The Jam Session Vibe My classes are not just about sitting and repeating after a teacher. We treat these like jam sessions. We put on backing tracks, pick up our dholaks, and learn by playing along. This helps you build the confidence to pick up an instrument at a party and actually play, not just watch. Whether you are prepping for a wedding gig or just want to pick up a new skill that brings people together, we make it happen here. We practice in a traditional 'baithak' style at my home studio, which keeps the environment chill and musical. No negative vibes, just good company, chai, and rhythm. ## About Atul Rohtagi Om Sai Ram. Music runs in my veins, a gift from my Papa ji, who is my guru and my everything. I teach these sessions at Rythem Home Music Academy because I love seeing students find their own groove, whether it is for a wedding gig or a spiritual bhajan session.
