This is not a diluted or simplified version. It is the original pedagogy focused on traditional West African technique, specific rhythm patterns, and the philosophy of using drumming as a community tool. You receive the same technical standard and instructional clarity that I gained during my years under my guru. When I started Taal Inc, my goal was to bridge the gap between traditional West African djembe drumming and modern community facilitation. My status as a Senior Certified Djembe Teacher from the Tam Tam Mandingue Djembe Academy (TTMDA) is not just a certification. It represents hundreds of hours of direct mentorship under Mamady Keïta. When you attend our 'Find Your Inner Rhythm' course, you are not just learning how to play an instrument. You are learning the mechanics of sound, the history of the djembe, and the specific protocols for holding space for others. We teach the same vocal cues and body language techniques that Mamady used in his workshops across the globe. Whether you are a therapist, a teacher, or someone simply looking for a new skill, this lineage provides a clear, proven roadmap. You will not find guesswork here. You will find a structured approach that respects the roots of the instrument while making it accessible for everyone, regardless of prior musical experience. We keep the spirit of 'Wassa Wassa'—our term for pure happiness—at the center of every session, ensuring that the serious technical work remains joyful. ## About Taal Inc I'm Varun, and my entire practice at Taal Inc. is built on the foundation laid by my guru, Mamady Keïta. I strive to pass on the same clarity, respect for tradition, and joy that he brought to the djembe every single day.
