I break down traditional Malinke rhythms using a 'Say it, Play it' method, making the Djembe accessible even if you have never touched an instrument before. Whether you are here to de-stress or learn the craft properly, you will be playing in a group from day one. ### Learn the Djembe, the Traditional Way We follow the curriculum of the late Grandmaster Mamady Keïta. It is a structured, authentic approach that respects the cultural roots of the Djembe while keeping the sessions accessible for everyone in Pune. We do not just teach beats; we teach the history of the rhythms, from North East Guinea to South Guinea. ### Flexible Learning for Everyone Whether you want a casual weekend activity or are looking to certify as a Djembe player, we have a path for you. * **Walk-in Sessions:** Perfect for testing the waters. Experience the energy of a live batch for ₹750–₹800. * **Monthly Packages:** For serious learners, our monthly courses (ranging from ₹2100 to ₹4400) offer consistency. You get to play with a consistent community, which is where the real magic happens. ### Where We Meet Our classes are designed for the community. We hold sessions at **Artsphere in Kalyani Nagar** and **H3 Preschool in Baner**. We provide the instruments, so you do not need to carry gear. Just bring yourself and your enthusiasm. ### Why 'Say it, Play it'? If you can say the rhythm, you can play it. This is how we demystify complex patterns. We vocalize the bass, tone, and slap sounds before hitting the drum skin. It builds muscle memory faster and ensures that when we play as an ensemble, we are locked into the same groove. Come, drum, and be one with the tribe. ## About Taal Inc I am Varun, and for me, the Djembe is not just an instrument—it is a way to de-stress and connect. I was blessed by my guru, Mamady Keïta, to carry forward his legacy here in Pune, and I love seeing strangers bond over a shared rhythm. Whether you are 8 or 81, come join our circle.
